NATURAL NUTRITION

When it comes to feeding our dogs, we have chosen a natural diet, better known as BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) or simply raw food.

The principle of raw feeding is straight forward and we use it to respect our dogs' natural digestive systems. The diet consists of a mix of muscle meat, organs and bones in the right quantities, plus a small amount of vegetables, fruit and fish. In this way, our dogs get the most out of their diet.

As with humans, a balanced diet is achieved over time by varying the contents of the food bowl. Of course, it is important to

adapt the diet to the individual dog too. A dog should get what it needs depending on the season, its activity levels and its physical and mental condition. This ensures long-term deficiencies are avoided. Since we feed our dogs a mix of fresh food (CDV), they have much more energy, their coats are full and shiny, their stools are good and their skin is much nicer.

Feeding puppies raw meat can reduce the risk of intestinal problems later in life. Indeed, it seems that feeding raw food, at least until they are six months old, has a positive effect on their overall health. Our puppies are weaned with a mix of fresh food for this reason. If you as apuppy buyer prefer, we can switch to good-quality kibble well before the puppy leaves the litter.

You only grow up once! Accordingly, that is why we advise our future puppy buyers on the choice and composition of a complete and balanced diet. As a consequence our puppies can grow into healthy adult dogs. If you also want to be able to make an informed choice for your dog when it comes to daily meals, please contact us.
